Application Simulation
Our ability to completely evaluate material performance provides our customers with fact-based confidence. |
These machines range from the smaller material evaluation units (20 hp) to full-scale computer controlled data-acquisition units capable of testing entire transmission, clutch, or brake segments (625 hp). We are able to simulate the speeds and inertia experienced in vehicles ranging from golf carts to heavy-duty construction equipment and everything in between. Some units are dedicated to simulating the highly aggressive landing scenarios for commercial aircraft, which can include over 30 speed/inertia engagements. |
The smaller material evaluation units can be programmed for a single set of parameters to complete wear tests, for example. We can also benefit from variable engagement units that explore the material limits by changing speeds, energies, lubricants, and pressures. Screening tests are used to narrow the list of material options for a given application. 4Back to Research & Development |
